In Conversation with: Brent McIntosh

3rd June 2021 | 1PM EST | 6PM BST

2020 saw fundamental changes in the ways international trade was undertaken, supply chains functions and investors around the world operated. This shift led to opportunities, in the form of ingenuity and creativity from businesses responding and thrilling under uncertainty. However, the disruption also created gaps and challenges for law enforcement, regulators and financial services trying to stay ahead of criminal taking as risk profiles change and behaviour evolve.

As we began to emerge from this period of uncertainty, it’s critical that the sector as a whole takes time to look at the key lessons learnt, and focuses on the policies and practices that will make the system a more stable, inclusive and secure place for everyone. In the fight against financial crime, AMLA has brought in sweeping regulatory changes. We’ll look at what those changes mean for businesses, and what the future of money laundering prevention might look like from digital currency to changing sanction regimes.

Join Vatsa Narasimha, COO & CFO, ComplyAdvantage as he talks with Brent McIntosh, former Under Secretary for International Affairs, U.S. Department of the Treasury about international tensions, changing regulation and the future of finance.
